MN Orff Board Election Results

Congratulations to our the newly elected Minnesota Orff Board president-elect, program chair-elect, and treasurer! Our president-elect and program chair-elect board members will take on the roles of president and program chair in the fall of 2024. Meanwhile, they will work closely with the current president and program chair to make our chapter workshops the best they can be.


Elizabeth Coash, MN Orff President Elect: Elizabeth Coash teaches K-5 general music at Lily Lake Elementary School in Stillwater, Minnesota. She is a graduate of the University of North Dakota and earned her M.A. in Education from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Elizabeth completed her Orff Schulwerk Certification at North Dakota State University, has attended master classes, and is the past program chair for MN Orff. In her spare time Elizabeth enjoys spending time with family and friends, participating in triathlons, cooking, and playing her horn.






Elizabeth Trites, MN Orff Program Chair Elect

Elizabeth Trites loves fostering students’ joy and creativity through Orff Schulwerk. She teaches preK through 5th grade music in Maple Grove, MN (Osseo Area Schools,) and is currently pursuing her masters degree at St. Thomas. When not in school, you can often find her devouring baked goods or books. She is fired up to finally go to AOSA National Conference this November in her hometown of Kansas City! (And she is happy to lead a

barbecue tour).




Sarah Anderson, Treasurer

Sarah Anderson is an elementary music specialist at Farmington Elementary School in Farmington, MN. Aside from teaching K-5 music, Sarah leads after-school ukulele and drum clubs. Sarah has her Master of Arts in Music Education from The University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, with an emphasis in Orff-Schulwerk. Prior to teaching in Farmington, Sarah taught K-5 music in Harrisburg, SD and K-12 vocal music in Adrian, MN. Sarah served on the board of the Sioux Valley Orff Chapter for three years during her time in South Dakota. In her free time, Sarah plays percussion in the Rosemount Community Band, sings in her church choir, and enjoys hiking with her husband and dogs in the beautiful state parks of Minnesota.
