Stories that Move
Saturday, September 20, 2025 9am-1pm
Learn how to listen to a story with your whole body. Using the Japanese American Confinement during WWII as a case study, experience ways to study, honor, and share stories that are not your own through guided musical-somatic improvisations. Learn playful strategies for connecting people with stories through patterns derived from the text and visual art of children's literature. Join a dynamic conversation on sharing stories that move us to compassion and creativity. Visit the West Music pop-up shop before and after the workshop for related materials and supplies for the beginning of the school year.
