Hello Orff Community,
I hope everyone is having a good winter so far! I'm writing to let you know about our upcoming Minnesota Orff/Kodaly Chapter of Minnesota Chapter Sharing event, which will take place in room M100DEFG at the Minneapolis Convention Center from 9am-12pm on Saturday, February 18th. Although the Chapter Share session is part of the MMEA MidWinter Clinic, it is free to all, regardless of whether you are registered for MMEA. Presenters from both the Orff and Kodaly chapters will give useful, energetic and joyful presentations on topics such as: the history of Orff Schulwerk, folk dancing, speech rhythm building blocks, songs and games in Spanish, vocal canons and more! We will round out the session with a singalong/hootenanny, so bring a uke, guitar or other instrument if you can.
Also, don't forget to mark your calendar for the April 22nd workshop with Orff and Responsive Classroom expert, Matthew Stensrud! Did you know that AOSA/MN Orff chapter members who purchased the 3 workshop package are eligible for a guest pass to bring a fellow music educator? If you haven't used your guest pass, be thinking of which lucky colleague you would like to invite in April!
As always, please reach out with questions. See you on February 18th
Very Truly,
