Jody Petter

President MNOrff

Jody Petter has served on the board for over twenty years and has been teaching K-5 elementary music in East Bloomington, MN. She has completed her masters in Orff Schulwerk at University of St. Thomas. She has also studied at the Orff Institut in Austria and has has completed two levels of Kodaly and one level of Dalcroze. She has written book reviews for the Orff Echo and is the author of the Facebook page Random Acts of Orff. She is the proud mother of three children and loves crafting and fishing in her spare time.

Sarah

Hruska-Olson

Vice President

Sarah has been a proud member of the Minnesota Orff Chapter for many years. She has served as member at large, assistant program chair and program chair. Sarah has taught at MacPhail Center for Music since 1997. Through her various MacPahail Community partnerships, she has taught music at numerous schools, childcare centers, community centers, libraries, shelters, retirement communities, and nursing homes. Sarah Hruska Olson completed her Orff levels 1,2 and 3 and Orff Curriculum Development courses at UST. She holds a B.A. in music and English from Lawrence University, a B.M. in music education from the University of Minnesota, and an M.M. in vocal performance from the University of Michigan. Sarah enjoys singing opera and folk music, playing the guitar, cooking and walking outdoors. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband and college aged son.

Elizabeth Coash

Program Chair

Elizabeth Coash teaches K-5 general music at Lily Lake Elementary School in Stillwater, Minnesota. She is a graduate of the University of North Dakota and earned her M.A. in Education from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Elizabeth completed her Orff Schulwerk Certification at North Dakota State University, has attended master classes, and currently is the program chair for MN Orff. In her spare time Elizabeth enjoys spending time with family, running, cycling, cooking, and playing her horn

Dan Gullick

Past President

Dan Gullick teaches kindergarten through fifth grade music at Liberty Ridge Elementary, part of ISD 833, in Woodbury, Minnesota. He co-directs a fourth and fifth grade extra-curricular choir and has founded a fourth and fifth grade Orff ensemble at his school. He holds a BA in music from Luther College and an MA in music education with an emphasis in Orff Schulwerk from the University of St. Thomas. He is the department leader for elementary music teachers in ISD 833 for which he develops and presents professional development, and has supported the implementation of standards based grading. He has taught Orff Level 1 basic pedagogy at NDSU, an AOSA approved teacher education course. Dan is the current Past President of Minnesota Orff, is an AOSA digital mentor, and is an AOSA approved teacher educator.
