Dear MN Orff Chapter,
After 33 years of teaching music to Pre-K – 4th grade students at Mounds Park Academy, I am retiring this spring. The MN Orff Chapter has been a great support for me, especially in my early years of teaching and I am forever grateful. I also know that an Orff trained music educator would love to teach at MPA. Both Lower School and Middle School music rooms have complete Orff instrumentariums and additional percussion instruments. Music is an integral part of the curriculum and both the faculty/staff and parent community are very supportive. There are about 180 students in PK-4th grade and they have music about 90 minutes each week, which means that the children’s creativity and your creativity as a music educator has time to flourish.
